ABOUT
When your good wood is designed, built, finished, delivered, and installed by the same person, you can trust the process. The now old-fashioned sense of knowing where your furniture (or anything for that matter) really comes from might be fleeing our “advancing” world, but it’s an important part of BIG SIN WOOD’s identity. To control quality, especially on the custom, one-of-a-kind level, there must be an earnest set of hands intently working to make it happen.
Custom woodwork isn’t always just about dimensions and colors. Choosing material that reminds you of the spirit tree still living in the yard of your childhood home can matter. Knowing where the white oak (now your new coffee table !?) lived its life is important. Having a good feeling that the plywood for your project was hand-selected is satisfying. Choosing locally recycled or “reclaimed” material connects some to the everlasting utility of wood. Custom work by BIG SIN WOOD can be as personal as you want. When your new piece is delivered, you can be sure you’ll have that “one with the grain” feeling.

Who are you and what’s with the name?
BIG SIN WOOD was founded by me, Jeremy Morrow, in 2018. I’m from Nashville, TN and now live and work in Brooklyn, NY. The BIG SIN SHOP is in East Williamsburg.
I spent years as a professional musician (bass trombone), playing in orchestras throughout the world and in the pits (and stages) of Broadway. My life and identity were presented with deeply difficult situations over time, and the choice to follow my own mind-flow was waiting. I walked beyond the music world and now use the lessons I learned and the notes I played in a different way. To many in the curiously one-tracked industry, this was a BIG SIN. What is a SIN anyways? You decide. I like that.
All anyone can do (and hopefully want others to do) is
“see a light and follow some path to a truth, become one, and find peace.”
